Founded by Dr. Michael Baracy Jr., our practice was built on a simple philosophy: exceptional medicine begins with meaningful relationships, active listening, and compassionate care. We combine the personal attention of a patient-centered practice with the clinical expertise and resources of modern medicine. From adolescence and family planning to pregnancy, gynecologic surgery, and menopause, our mission is to empower women through education, shared decision-making, and evidence-based care. Dr. Baracy brings advanced training and a commitment to surgical innovation to every aspect of his practice. With expertise in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, he offers a range of surgical approaches, including robotic-assisted hysterectomy, conventional laparoscopy, and vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (vNOTES)—an innovative technique that allows certain gynecologic procedures to be performed without visible abdominal incisions. His additional training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Stanford University and the University of Cincinnati further strengthens the practice's approach to fertility evaluation and treatment. Whether helping a patient conceive, navigating a complex pregnancy, or determining the most appropriate treatment for a gynecologic condition, our goal is to deliver thoughtful, individualized care informed by the latest medical evidence and tailored to each woman's needs.

At Baracy OB/GYN, our commitment to exceptional care extends beyond the examination room. Dr. Baracy is an award-winning physician-researcher whose work has appeared in respected medical journals, including Obstetrics & Gynecology, widely known as The Green Journal. His research on midurethral slings and urinary incontinence earned the prestigious ACOG National Donald F. Richardson Memorial Prize Paper, and his contributions to reproductive medicine were recognized with the David Brinton Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Scholarship. He also serves as Acting Associate Program Director of the HCA Clear Lake OB/GYN Residency Program, where he helps educate and mentor the next generation of women's healthcare physicians. His ongoing research explores how maternal stress and other factors during pregnancy may influence maternal and fetal outcomes. Through clinical practice, research, and medical education, we remain committed to advancing women's healthcare and bringing the benefits of evolving medical knowledge directly to the patients we serve.
